Creepy Cutouts
A VR gaming experience coupled with
an electronic physical model. In this short
adventure, the player guides a creature through
a labyrinthine, modular world that they unfolds
using the beam of his lamp.
The light-reactive paper model creates a bridge
between the physical part of the installation and
the rules of the virtual environment in which we
play the game.
This work was conceived with the intention
of integrating a form of materiality into the
virtual reality experience. A form of exchange
is created between the physical space and
the proposed virtual universe. The model is a
physical import of the game’s operating rules
in VR, and the game itself is inspired by fairly
simple mechanics from the physical world.
