An immersive visual experience of a moving landscape. Quixotic plain is a live controlled piece designed for a 360° mapping projection. From the rosy dawn to the menacing sky of a stormy day to a clear summer afternoon, the sky evolves over a thick, vast meadow. The tall, green grass, buffeted by the wind, is sometimes loaded with flowers, sometimes turning yellow as it dries out. A piece proposing a contradictory immersion within an artificial plain in an enclosed room. A process of imitating nature with code. This piece was created for the Mapping Festival, during which I directed the visuals projected live onto the walls of the hall at the Jardin des Nations in Geneva using a midi controller.
